SCHOOL OF MEDICINE

The MD program consists of 2 phases: Basic Science and Clinical Science over 4.5 years.
Basic Science of the MD program consists of 5 semesters.Clinical Science is about 6 semesters.
The combined Pre-med and MD program is of 5.5 years duration.

The Basic Science portion of the MD program is completed in the main campus in the (Caribbean Island).
​
After successful completion of the Basic Science phase, students move on to the Clinical Rotations phase. This last for 2 years and the program can be performed in the U.S.A (elective rotations), Canada, UK, or Trinidad & Tobago, at university affiliated hospitals.

Our affiliated university students and graduates are eligible to apply to ECFMG for ECFMG Certification and USMLE as a step towards ECFMG Certification.

Our affiliated Medical Universities are listed in WHO (World Health Organization), World Directory of Medical Schools, and by PANHO (Pan American Health Organization).
They are also listed with the Caribbean Accreditation Authority for Education in Medicine and other Health Professions (CAAM-HP), Medical Council of Canada and students are eligible to appear for Canadian exams.

SCHOOL OF NURSING

The Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) Program is an eleven (11) semester 3.5 year generic program designed to prepare students to complete the core competencies for entry into professional nursing practice to meet the eligibility requirements for licensing examinations, (such as the Regional Examination for Nurse Registration (RENR) and the NCLEX Examination) and practice in both the Caribbean region and developed countries.
The curriculum is designed to build on the principles of liberal arts education and specifically the natural sciences, social sciences and humanities; biological and health sciences; and knowledge of nursing theory and clinical practice to build knowledge and competencies relevant to the art and science of professional nursing. Students are also introduced to a basic understanding of how evidence is developed and upon which practice based, including the research process and clinical decision making in nursing.
The program also fosters an understanding of and respect for the variations in care and for the increasing complexity across continuum's of care. The transition course is the culminating clinical practice experience in the program and provides opportunity for integration and synthesis of previous concepts and professional role behaviors. Baccalaureate graduates are therefore prepared to practice as a generalist in various settings caring for individuals across the life span as well as promoting the health of groups in the community.

Our affiliated School of Business offers an exclusive MBA in Corporate Excellence and Leadership & PG Diploma(120 Credits).
